JOB PURPOSE

The Investments Team works to analyze the financial matters of all topics on Amp’s corporate agenda, including developing international growth strategies. The Analyst, Investments plays an important role in supporting these activities and working with other Analysts and Associates to deliver on the team’s mandate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project origination, evaluation, executive and financing
  • In collaboration with the team, support the maintenance of detailed financial models for project opportunities
  • Routinely conduct sensitivity analyses on existing projects as assumptions are refined
  • Maintain an accurate and consistent schedule of assumptions for each financial model, using underlying research and substantiated data from internal and external sources
  • Support due diligence activities in relation to project investment opportunities
  • Assist in the development of investor pitch materials and board presentations
  • Support the management of electronic data related to project origination and financing, and support activity within electronic data rooms
  • Assist with transaction execution as required
  • Turn around ad hoc financial analysis as required in a timely manner

Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to support critical deadlines
  • Detail oriented with the ability to pick up and retain a wide breath of knowledge, at a fast pace
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Propensity to follow through and drive toward resolution,with a strong desire to learn
  • Agile and adaptable, with the ability to deal with changing priorities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking on new tasks or projects,at times with little direction
  • Strong writing, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Genuine interest in the renewable energy industry
