Amp Acquires Operating Mega-Solar Power Plant In Japan

Toronto, ON – July 11, 2017 – Amp Solar Group (“Amp”), a leading global cleanenergy independent power producer, announced today that it hascompleted the acquisition of alarge-scale solar power plant alreadyoperating in the Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture with a total generationcapacity of approximately 14.7 megawatts (“the Project”).The Project had originally been built by a Taiwanese solar power producer,General Energy Solutions Inc., through a special purpose company, andcommenced operation in March 2017. Power generated after the acquisitionwill be sold to Tohoku Electric Power Co, an investment-grade regulatedutility, at a fixed price in accordance with the Power Purchase Agreement for20 years.Project financing was arranged by Shinsei Bank, Limited, a leading provider ofsolar financing in the Japanese market.The acquisition further strengthens AMP’s rapidly growing clean energy assetportfolio in Japan
