Business System Analyst - Accounting

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a motivated, ambitious, hardworking Business Systems Analyst - Accounting as we implement and utilize NetSuite across our global operations.  The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience in Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation and its ongoing maintenance including report writing, user training, onboarding new hires, and system upgrades, to drive innovation and operational effectiveness across the organization.  Ancillary to being the point-person for NetSuite, the purpose includes IT Administration for all users in our Port Credit Head Office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • lead/participate in business solution design sessions with key stakeholders to understand current business processes and identify business pain points and objectives
  • work with the 3rd party NetSuite implementation consultants towards cutover including configuring the NetSuite modules and documenting the process flows;
  • keep NetSuite implementation resources on task and on schedule based upon the agreed to scope, organization structure, master data structure and business processes;
  • prepare design alternatives and design specification documents;
  • lead all meetings with internal customers and 3rd party consultants to manage the design phases related to NetSuite ERP modules;
  • independently conduct demonstrations and Fit / Gap analyses;
  • lead report writing for recurring financial reporting and ad hoc reports;
  • sustain NetSuite licensing commitments and match resources to needs;
  • onboard new hires for their NetSuite role
  • source / provide training as required to users;
  • work with 3rd party Managed Services Provider to ensure leading edge IT functionality is employed at AMP;
  • service all members of the Head Office Team to ensure seamless IT functionality;
  • stay abreast of current developments with various ERP’s and in IT Administration;
  • ad hoc projects and initiatives as requested by senior Finance managers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or computer science
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining Oracle NetSuite Financials (GL, SO - AR, PO – AP, FA, International Tax Suite) and report writing
  • At least 4 years of experience in the complete life cycle of a complex Oracle NetSuite Application project
  • At least 4 years of experience in IT Administration including working with 3rd party Managed Service Provider, personnel transitioning, IT equipment handling, data storage / retrieval, and DRP functionality
  • Experience multitasking and working with all levels of the organization, across cross-functional and matrix teams, and global regions
  • A proven history of project management and leading teams through successful implementation projects on-time, on-budget, and to agreed quality standards
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, data cleansing, data manipulation)
  • Solid accounting expertise, ideally supported by an MBA or CPA, or in process for one of these
