We’re looking for an Analyst, Investments to join our investments team. Our investments team works to analyze the financial matters of all topics on Amp’s corporate agenda, including developing international growth strategies and this position will play an important role in supporting these activities and collaborating with other Analysts and Associates to deliver on this mandate.


  • Support project origination, evaluation, execution, and financing of potential investment opportunities
  • In collaboration with the team, support the maintenance, customization, and development of detailed financial models for project opportunities
  • Routinely conduct sensitivity analyses on existing and developing projects
  • Create and maintain an accurate and consistent schedule of assumptions for each financial model, performing the underlying research, and interacting with internal and external sources to compile and substantiate data
  • Support due diligence activities in relation to project investment opportunities
  • Assist in the development of investor pitch materials, board presentations and presentations for potential clients
  • Draft memos, provide supporting documentation, and present potential investment opportunities to Amp’s internal investment committee
  • Support the management of electronic data related to project origination and financing, and support activity within electronic data rooms
  • Assist with transaction execution as required
  • Turn around ad hoc financial analysis as required in a timely manner
  • Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned


  • Project finance and financial modelling experience, ideally accompanied by at least 1-year of on-the-job experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Administration; a degree in Economics, Engineering, and/or Computer Science would be considered together with a Finance background
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to support critical deadlines and retain a wide breadth of knowledge, at a fast pace
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Propensity to follow through and drive toward resolution, with a strong desire to learn
  • Agile and adaptable, with the ability to deal with changing priorities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking on new tasks or projects, at times with little direction
  • Strong writing, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Genuine interest in the renewable energy industry
  • CPA and/or CFA designations are an asset
  • Coding knowledge, including VBA and/or Python, are an asset
