Manager, US Community Solar

JOB PURPOSE

The Manager, US Community Solar will be the expert on all regulatory matters relating to community solar. The job will include building out Amp’s community solar platform consisting of regulatory compliance, customer acquisition, customer onboarding, and customer management. This will be achieved through contracting with external third parties along with direct offtaker outreach while leading and supporting strategic initiatives for building out a long-term approach for Amp in the market. The role will also be cross-trained and assist on an ad-hoc basis with development and transactional work as described in the Responsibilities section. This role reports to the Director, US Transactions and Asset Management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Solar Services (Primary Responsibilities)
  • Role will have a primary focus on New York state, but will expand to other states as needed
  • Direct customer acquisition outreach activities including, but not limited to, generating lead lists and calling on anchors, coordinating digital marketing campaigns, creating marketing collateral and leading public events like open houses and community events.
  • Research, manage RFPs, and contract with third parties related to all parts of the community solar platform.
  • Act as Amp’s main point of contact for any community solar inquiries from existing customers, either directly or through Amp’s third-party servicing platform.
  • Manage Amp’s third-party services including tracking KPIs and contractual compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, local and Utility codes and requirements for the handling of customer personal information and communications.
  • Coordinate all necessary marketing activities and collateral.
  • Support planning and road-mapping future in-house community solar services


Asset and Transaction Coordination (Secondary Responsibilities)
  • Organize internal and external resources to ensure transactions are executed on time and on budget.
  • Manage consultants, brokers, agents, and other third-party stakeholders as necessary to meet operational requirements.
  • Minimize Amp’s exposure to risk on all transactions.
  • Assist in developing, training, and implementing standardized processes to streamline functions related to asset management.


General Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the US Group data management in the Denver office.
  • Manage the Amp brand assets and guidelines for the Denver location.
  • Support legal tasks as needed.
  • Cultivate positive business relationships. Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two (2) or more year’s progressive experience in administrative roles.
  • Experience with customer service, data warehousing and project coordination.
  • Experience with community solar a plus.
  • Experience working with sensitive and personally identifiable information.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and travel through the US and Canada.
