Amp is looking for an experienced individual to join our fast-growing Finance Team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, Canada the Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading daily operations, financial reporting, analysis and compliance for the US division.


  • Manage transaction accountants, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank functions
  • Oversea project accountants, including internal/external reporting, strategic, administrative and compliance functions
  • Expand and develop a team of project and transaction accountants
  • Lead and encourage the accounting team performance during the period close
  • Contribute to US GAAP / IFRS financial reporting through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
  • Establish and monitor internal controls in adherence to legal regulations, respective agreements and company policies/procedures
  • Liaise with head office and third-party service providers on mergers and acquisition
  • Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and budgets to actual outlook
  • Assist with monthly forecast and annual budget process
  • Report on key performance indicators / financial matters to the executive team
  • Facilitate cost controls and savings within your division
  • Other ad hoc projects, reports as required


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA / CA qualification
  • 5-7 years related experience in Finance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel)
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS)
  • Team player, who seeks collaborative solutions
  • Analytical and result-driven with accuracy, integrity and transparency
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Motivated, self-starter
  • Adaptable to changing work environment and technologies
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Related experience in the energy sector or real estate development considered an asset
  • Working knowledge in NetSuite considered an asset
