Our Development Team is looking to add a Development Associate to join our growing team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Development, in our Denver office, this role will work with a team of high-performing subject matter experts and development managers to collaboratively advance projects. This will require cross-discipline coordination with our Permitting, Environmental, Land, Title, Design, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing teams to plan, develop, and execute projects.


Research and Intelligence
  • Research county, municipality, and state regulations, bylaws, and ordinances
  • Interpret and clarify AHJ policy and make recommendations to the development team
  • Chart project regulatory schedules and budgets
  • Create and launch regulatory stakeholder engagement

  • Review and approve permit matrices; coordinate materials required for permit submittals
  • Integrate design and land constraints into project site plans
  • Complete and submit permit applications and proactively drive permitting schedules
  • Engage with AHJs; present project proposals and guide permit discussions and processes
  • Oversee and guide Conservation Commission approvals and permit requirements
  • Execute NOIs, PNFs, and agency consultations
  • Create and execute permit conditions trackers; lead efforts for permit updates and reapprovals

Public Economics
  • Research & model taxes, PILOTs, decommissioning requirements, incentive applications, and surety agreements and funds
  • Represent Company with landowners
  • Attend landowner & community townhalls as needed


  • Direct experience in energy infrastructure permitting, and regulatory project management
  • Degree in business, environmental studies, law, or related discipline
  • Ability to travel unrestricted within the US and Canada
  • Valid US Driver’s license
  • Ability to perform site walks on treed, rocky, and sloped terrain in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages from conception to commercial operations
  • Strong negotiating, problem-solving, and deal-making skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail in the review, driving, and tracking of complex regulatory schedules
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to track a large pipeline of projects in various stages of development
  • Team player who seeks collaborative solutions
