The Senior Associate, Execution will be a secondary project or portfolio manager once facilities have reached the financing/construction stage of the project life cycle. The position requires interaction with Amp’s consultants, brokers, agents, and other stakeholders as necessary to meet project requirements. This role maintains regular interaction with internal and external resources to support Amp’s business objectives in the US. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Execution.


  • Bachelor's degree with a preference in Energy Land Management, Real Estate Development, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in energy or real estate acquisition projects, or as a lease analyst, is a plus.
  • Occasional extended work hours required with ability and willingness to respond to landowner inquiries outside of usual business hours
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Confidence, pride, and care in sourcing and closing deals
  • Motivation to work independently
  • Enjoy working on the phone extensively with counterparties
  • Proven decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, Project, Power Point), Google Docs, and Adobe. Experience using GIS software an asset.


Primary Responsibilities - Project Execution

  • Work with leaders and staff across Amp’s teams to identify, coordinate and track internal and external (financing) approvals following a project or portfolio (both Greenfield and Transactions Teams) having reached the construction/financing stage of the process
  • Conduct due diligence activities and project finance support
  • Support or follow-up on post “NTP” activities surrounding site control, interconnection, permitting, etc.
  • Coordinate project and portfolio budgets and cash flow forecasts with Accounting, including the processing of payments and data room management
  • Coordinate the work packages and deliverables leading and subsequent to EPC
  • Engineering, Construction, and Operation & Maintenance contracts
  • Continual monitoring of financial modeling
  • Regulatory and Construction permits sufficiency assessment
  • Risk management tracking and risk register updates
  • Support the maintenance of project schedules & budgets
  • Land acquisition / status including evidence of required payments
  • Request and execute third party proposals
  • Function as a secondary point of contact for third party stakeholders
  • Act as a coordinator for information requests from and provision of responses to external parties and Amp’s internal Structured Finance Team in the financing due diligence process
  • Coordinate with development staff and/or external development parties to ensure projects meet Amp’s quality standards and comply with all necessary federal, state, local, and utility guidelines and regulations
  • Structure and implement processes to facilitate a streamlined workflow between internal and external teams during the execution term
  • Prepare final packages for the Asset Management Team once the project/portfolio reaches interconnection and final milestones


Secondary Responsibilities – Development / Transaction Operations:

  • Support continual team improvement
  • Review projects and collaborate with SMEs on project optimization opportunities in scope, schedule, finance, design, etc.
  • Integrate project schedules and related activities across functional teams to provide a view of interdependencies and facilitate critical path analysis
  • Liaise with the Finance Team & Development / Transaction Team to ensure accurate and timely communication of model inputs and outputs
  • The Company may, in its discretion, assign you other duties and responsibilities


  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, an advanced degree is encouraged
  • Two (2) or more years of project management experience in renewable energy development and/or renewable energy finance.
  • Experience coordinating between multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage deadlines and stay calm under pressure
  • Experience working with sensitive and personally identifiable information
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and travel through the US and Canada
  • Willingness and ability to travel limited amounts to meet with project stakeholders


  • Salary range: $80,000-90,000 USD per annum
