Our Development Division is looking to add a GIS Coordinator to our growing team! Reporting to the Sr. Director, Development in Denver this position will be responsible for GIS mapping and data management. They will work collaboratively with Real Estate, Design, Interconnection, Governance, and Project Management during the planning, development and execution stages of solar and battery storage projects across the U.S.


  • Undergraduate degree in GIS, geography, cartography or closely related field
  • Interest in solar, energy storage, and/or grid development
  • Proven experience in ArcGIS mapping systems and data organization
  • Experience using Global Mapper is recommended
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages from conception to COD
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ever-changing environment

  • Liaise with project managers, real estate managers, greenfield specialists, governance specialists, design specialists, and interconnection specialists regarding data and mapping needs.
  • Create, maintain and modify GIS databases in a consistent manner.
  • Convert data collected from online sources into GIS database with proper and accurate spatial location.
  • Enter data into GIS databases using techniques such as coordinate geometry, keyboard entry of tabular data, manual digitalization of maps, scanning or automatic conversion to vectors, or conversion of other sources of digital data.
  • Analyze GIS data to identify spatial relationships and/or display results of analyses, using maps, graphs, or tabular data.
  • Review existing or incoming data for accuracy, usefulness, quality, or completeness of documentation.
  • Create guidance documents and assure consistency of standards and practices for data conversion, data maintenance and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support within Development Department regarding the development, maintenance, and operation of GIS databases.
  • Give continuing and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Build long-term, positive, trusting relationships with all stakeholders.


  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, an advanced degree is encouraged
  • Two (2) or more years of project management experience in renewable energy development and/or renewable energy finance.
  • Experience coordinating between multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage deadlines and stay calm under pressure
  • Experience working with sensitive and personally identifiable information
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and travel through the US and Canada
  • Willingness and ability to travel limited amounts to meet with project stakeholders


  • Salary range: $50,000-60,000 USD per annum
