  • A senior leader to help guide due diligence, optimization, & development tasks across a large portfolio of commercial & community-scale solar PV & battery storage projects in the NE US.
  • A collaborative, collegial, & interactive leader to mentor junior team members, frame projects for external stakeholders, & guide financial decisions.

  • Position is available remotely - based in MA, NY, or PA
  • The successful candidate will work with a team of high-performance subject matter experts to collaboratively advance projects.
  • Travel required, some overnight, for meetings, public hearings, town halls, etc.
  • Responsibilities for project scope, schedule, budget, & finance model.
  • Cross-discipline coordination with Permitting, Environmental, Land, Title, Interconnect, Design, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, etc. in the planning, development, & execution of projects.
  • Reports to the Director of Development in Denver, Colorado.


  • Develop & deliver profitable solar projects located throughout the Northeastern United States.
  • Understand site selection criteria, environmental & permitting, & interconnect in NY, MA, & PA.
  • Set project strategy; chart course with the team for effective & efficient project execution. 
  • Build long-term, positive, trusting relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Support SMEs in handling any challenging lease, permitting or construction related issues.
  • Thoroughly understand project economics; Drive the P&L of the development business.
  • Understand SMART, VDER, & other state incentive programs.
  • Negotiate & implement service agreements & real estate contracts.
  • Understand & coordinate finance models maintaining NPV & IRR targets.
  • Manage stage gates, create business cases, present capex requests to the US leadership team.
  • Work with the Construction team in order to transition projects from development to construction.
  • Utilize project management & other tracking tools to control & report on project progress.
  • Support subcontractor selection associated with developing each project.
  • Set & monitor all project processes, requirements, & milestones. 
  • Provide quantitative analytical support for key project development decisions.
  • Travel to & represent the company at key community meetings & public hearings, often in the evening & occasionally overnight, as may be neccessary.
  • Other duties for which you are qualified.


  • Minimum 4 years of direct experience in solar, energy storage, &/or grid development or project management.
  • Significant experience in real estate &/or energy infrastructure development.
  • Graduate degree in business, finance, engineering, energy, law, or other related dicipline.
  • A high level of social, emotional, spatial, & linguistic intelligence.
  • Legal eligibility to live in the US & travel throughout the US & Canada. 
  • Valid US Driver's license.
  • Ability to perform site walks on treed, rocky, & sloped terrain in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Proven experience & leadership in project management, budgeting, & finance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages from land control to NTP. 
  • Strong negotiating & deal-making skills.
  • Soft skills: integrity, initiative, energy, attitude, execution, passion, teamwork, hyper-organized and entrepreneurial.
